Good day children,
More thoughts on God.
Philippians 4, KJV “
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and
longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that
they be of the same mind in the Lord. And
I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me
in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose
names are in the book of life. Rejoice
in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God. And the peace of God, which passeth
all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are
true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things.”
My guidance
With an ongoing
breakdown in our society, I would like to comment on a few events to you. Not the Bud Light or Target fiascos with
their pushing the radical sexual agendas, or the shootings, or the riots in the
cities, but God’s events. God has good
things planned for you, look for them, expect them. This passage promises God’s peace to us. These words from Paul were written several
thousand years ago and translated into the King's English for King James several hundred
years ago, but they still are true. It
is still good advice to know God’s word, study it, and apply it to our lives. Paul says: “… whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Try to live in this manner, look to God for guidance,
for hope, for love. There is a constant
agitation in this world to worry, to feel threatened, to be angry and
hateful. Jesus said to “…fear not.” But that is hard for some of us, and the media/news and government and the drug companies all profit if we fear and they
sell that fear product. The gloom
merchants, EEE. God loves all mankind
and wants to bless us all no matter who we think we are.
And while there
are real issues in this world that need resolved, don’t become bound by them, or focus
on them, FEAR NOT. I believe that FEAR
is one of the principalities and powers that God warns us about. FEAR NOT, is not just about occasional
thoughts, but about letting this evil spirit of fear take up residency in our
minds. So, FEAR NOT! Look, listen, read this love letter from God,
and pray to our God. Then pray some
more, go out and act in a loving way, and talk to your friends and neighbors
and tell them why you are not afraid.
Because we believe in a good GOD.
And he knows what is best for us.
And remember even
when we are surprised, God is not, and He is thinking of you, personally.
